Redmond Branch So Successful That Local Credit Union Opens A Bigger Office
Seattle, Washington................................January 14, 2003
It took Watermark Credit Union just over four years to outgrow its Redmond Town Center branch. It is now moving into a much larger branch at 7214 170th Ave. NE. The new branch, just next to Larry's Market, has been built and designed specifically for the credit union.
The new branch opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27. The official grand opening ceremony and celebration take place at noon on Wednesday February 19. Everyone is invited to visit the new branch and join in the grand opening celebrations.
"The new location is perfect for our members," said Watermark Credit Union President Chuck Cockburn. "Our new branch has plenty of convenient parking nearby. It is twice the size of the branch it replaces and it has easy access to a 24-hour ATM."
The office will be open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays. New members who join the credit union get access to a wide range of low-fee and no-fee financial services including credit cards, mortgages, auto loans and free checking accounts. Local employers benefit because they can now choose to offer Watermark Credit Union membership as a free benefit for their employees.
This not-for-profit credit union was originally established in Seattle in 1938 to provide financial services to employees of the local telephone company. It recently changed its name from Seattle Telco Credit Union to Watermark Credit Union.
Watermark Credit Union serves approximately 60,000 members and has assets of over $360 million. Anyone who lives or works in Washington State is eligible to become a member of Watermark Credit Union. In addition to the new Redmond branch, it has offices in downtown Seattle, Lynnwood, Southcenter and Bellevue.
