Lynnwood Branch So Popular That Local Credit Union Opens A Bigger Office
Lynnwood, Washington...............................January 27, 2003
It took Watermark Credit Union a little over two years to outgrow its branch in Lynnwood on 196th Street SW. It is moving into a much bigger branch nearby at 18801 Alderwood Mall Parkway, just across the street from Alderwood Mall.
The relocated branch opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10. The official grand opening ceremony and celebration take place at noon on Wednesday, February 26. Everyone is invited to visit the new branch and to join in the grand opening celebration.
"The new location is perfect for our members," said Watermark Credit Union President Chuck Cockburn. "Our new Lynnwood branch is twice as big as the one it replaces. It has a drive-through ATM, a drive-through teller window and it has plenty of free parking."
The office will be open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays. New members who join the credit union get access to a wide range of low-fee and no-fee financial services including credit cards, mortgages, auto loans and free checking accounts. Local employers benefit because they can now choose to offer Watermark Credit Union membership as a free benefit for their employees.
This not-for-profit credit union was originally established in Seattle in 1938 to provide financial services to employees of the local telephone company. It recently changed its name from Seattle Telco Credit Union to Watermark Credit Union.
Watermark Credit Union serves approximately 60,000 members and has assets of over $360 million. Anyone who lives or works in Washington State is eligible to become a member of Watermark Credit Union. In addition to the new Lynnwood branch, it has offices in downtown Seattle, Redmond, Southcenter and Bellevue.
